Dr Serik Akshulakov is at the forefront of neurosurgery in Kazakhstan, leading the National Centre for Neurosurgery. The centre provides free, world-class care to citizens while driving medical innovation in Central Asia.

Over the past 15 years, he has trained dozens of young neurosurgeons and introduced cutting-edge technology, including the Gamma Knife, a revolutionary tool for non-invasive brain surgery.
