KSNV — A Las Vegas man was arrested early Tuesday morning following a shooting spree that spanned from Nevada to California, leaving three people injured.
Deputies from the Barstow Sheriff’s Station responded to a shooting incident at a Chevron gas station on Baker Boulevard at approximately 2:46 a.m.
The suspect, identified as 35-year-old Antonio Chaidez, allegedly fired multiple rounds inside the gas station, injuring the store clerk.
Chaidez also reportedly shot into two parked semi-trucks, injuring one of the drivers, before fleeing the scene.
Earlier, deputies had responded to a separate shooting incident in an unincorporated area of San Bernardino County, where a man was shot while sleeping in his car.
The California Highway Patrol located Chaidez's vehicle traveling southbound on the I-15 Freeway near Afton Road and initiated a pursuit. With assistance from Barstow deputies, Chaidez was apprehended during a felony traffic stop off Harvard Road without further incident.
Investigators revealed that Chaidez's shooting spree began in Blue Diamond, Nevada, continued through Jean, Nevada, and concluded in Baker, California.
