Contrary to circulating grievances over President Trump so-called poor handling of the Puerto Rico Hurricane disaster, Gov. Ricardo Rossello said Friday that the Trump administration has been responsive to his requests for aid.
Rosello said: “I have to say that the administration has responded to our petitions. FEMA, Brock Long, has been on the phone virtually all the time with me, checking out how things are going”.
“The different components of the national guard, military, FEMA and our government are working together on the priorities,” he said.
To dismiss Democrats last week’s argument that he didn’t respond quickly enough, Trump boosted aid to the island territory this week, and agreed to ease shipping rules in the hopes of getting aid there more quickly, after officials said shipping rules were slowing down the effort.
